This new edition is an exhaustive commentary on the subject discussing in detail the necessity for the employment of scientific methods in the detection of crime. The book also contains glossary of anatomical and pathological terms. The scope and arrangement of the subject matter is designed so as to afford to the legal profession the requisite basic knowledge on various scientific subjects covered by it by means of select extracts from standard scientific works. In practicality the book is intensely devoted towards the harnessing of expert evidence to enlarging and precisioning the data of judicial proof in terms of the substantive penal law of the land.

The original and valuable features of the previous Editions which were scrupulously adhered to have been retained. However, the names of the various Courts have been omitted to make the Book more readable. Another ?Glossary of weapons and instruments and meanings of certain vernacular words? have been added to make it useful for the readers. Appendices have also been added which will be found very useful.
